Slaughter Beach, Dog

Jake Ewald has released a handful of demos under the name Slaughter Beach, Dog. He’ll follow that up with his first full-length, "Welcome." It contrasts Ewald’s starkly personal, sharp songwriting for his main band, Modern Baseball, with his ability to build a compelling narrative outside of his own experiences. The songs on "Welcome" are written from the perspective of fictional characters living in Slaughter Beach, Delaware.

Glenn Hughes

Glenn Hughes, also known as "The Voice of Rock," is a vocalist/bass guitarist/songwriter. Hughes is a true original. No other rock musician has carved such a distinctive style blending the finest elements of hard rock, soul and funk. That astonishing voice is Hughes' calling card. He's known as a singer's singer: in fact, Stevie Wonder once called Hughes his favorite white singer. He joined forces alongside David Coverdale in Deep Purple for three classic albums: 'Burn,' 'Stormbringer' and 'Come Taste the Band.' He was also the lead vocalist for Black Sabbath in the mid-1980s. Glenn’s new studio album, 'First Underground Nuclear Kitchen' is the latest chapter in an extraordinary musical evolution.

Wolf Parade

Canadian indie pop combo Wolf Parade was formed in 2003 in Montreal, where their first show was opening for the Arcade Fire. From there Dan Boeckner, Spencer Krug, Hadji Bakara and Arlen Thompson recorded and self-released a four-song EP, and followed that with a six-song recording in 2004. They eventually gained the attention of Isaac Brock, and the Modest Mouse impresario then brought Wolf Parade to Sub Pop.

Red Fang

Red Fang is a four-piece band from Portland, Oregon, that formed back in 2006. Their sound, once described as "stoner rock," is actually more insistent and urgent, recalling more Black Sabbath or Black Flag than Queens of the Stone Age, for example. Their most recent album, "Whales and Leeches," was released in 2013.
