The Outlaws

Robert Earl Keen


Over his three-decade career, with over a dozen albums and thousands of shows to his credit, Texas songwriter Robert Earl Keen has had versions of his songs (such as "The Road Goes on Forever") recorded by Lyle Lovett (his college buddy), Nanci Griffith and Joe Ely. And along the way, his "Merry Christmas From the Family" became a holiday classic on left-of-the-dial radio.

Mary Fahl


First achieving fame as lead singer and cofounder of October Project, Mary Fahl is an expressive and emotional singer songwriter. The hallmark of October Project's sound was Fahl's powerful vocals. Since disbanding, she has released several solo albums including a live recording and a re-working of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon."

10,000 Maniacs


In 2016, 10,000 Maniacs marked their 35th anniversary; keyboardist Dennis Drew and bassist Steven Gustafson remain from the 1981 lineup, when they formed in Jamestown, NY, as Still Life. They're still best known for their hit albums of the late '80s and early '90s, "In My Tribe" and "Blind Man's Zoo," when Natalie Merchant (who left in 1993) was singing lead. The current lineup also includes singer Mary Ramsey, drummer Jerry Augustyniak and guitarist Jeff Erickson; they released their latest studio album, "Twice Told Tales," in 2015, and a live recording, "Playing Favorites," in 2016.

Asleep at the Wheel


The self-described "Kings of Texas Swing" started out in 1969 with Ray Benson and Lucky Oceans (Reuben Gosfield) in Paw Paw, WV as a tribute to Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys. The group has opened for such artists as Alice Cooper and Hot Tuna. But since 1970, they have gone on to earn multiple Grammy Awards and record over 20 studio albums. Of their many singles on the Billboard Country charts, their highest-charting hit and perhaps most beloved tune is 'The Letter That Johnny Walker Read.' Their latest album, "Still King" was released in March.
